We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Professional to join our team at Johnston Little Food Services Inc. as a Cook.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation

Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our customers.

Culinary Operations

Oversee the preparation and cooking of complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring high-quality standards are met.

Food Safety and Quality Control

Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintain a clean and hygienic environment.

Staff Training and Development

Train and mentor kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, as well as maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.

Inventory Management

Order supplies and equipment, and maintain accurate records of inventory levels to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Customer Service

Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Language

Fluency in English.

Work Hours

30 to 40 hours per week.
