Position Overview

The role of a Metal Coating Technician involves various responsibilities centered around the application of protective and decorative coatings on metal surfaces. This position is essential in ensuring the quality and durability of metal products.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Interpret and analyze blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
  • Utilize micrometers, calipers, and other tools to verify the appropriate thickness of coatings.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
  • Operate and manage various metal plating systems, including electroplating and hot-dip galvanizing.
  • Apply paint and perform touch-ups on smaller components using brushes.
  • Prepare and apply decorative elements such as stencils and decals on finished products.
  • Mix metallizing solutions according to established formulas or specifications.
  • Select and prepare suitable paints or create custom paint mixtures.
  • Oversee automatic metal coating machinery that processes items through cleaning, rinsing, and plating stages.
  • Operate equipment for spraying or coating metal surfaces.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 month and up to 7 months of relevant experience.
  • Employment Type: Permanent.
  • Working Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 48 hours per week.
