About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Parts Technician to join our team at our Nisku, Alberta facility. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the ordering, receiving, delivery, disbursement, and record keeping of parts and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pull parts from inventory and supply to mechanics and field maintenance teams.
  • Manage the parts room and parts inventory, ensuring accurate and efficient storage and retrieval.
  • Issue parts on repair orders and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and inventory counts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Keep the warehouse organized and tidy, adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Source parts from suppliers and collaborate with procurement to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing.
  • Manage bin locations, part numbers, safety stock, and min/max levels to optimize inventory management.
  • Ship and receive materials as needed, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to Tiger's Safety Management System policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Journeyman Parts Technician certification is considered an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Experience working with bin locations, part numbers, safety stock, and min/max levels.
  • Experience with cycle counts and inventory counts.
  • Experience with data entry on work orders.
  • Five years + experience working with industrial, heavy-duty truck parts and consumables in a transportation shop.
  • Attention to detail with strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with consignment inventory.
  • Experience with TMT software application is considered an asset.
  • Experience operating a forklift is an asset.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening requirements, including drug and alcohol and health assessment.
