Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Facilities Operations Assistant to join our team at Skyservice. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building and providing exceptional service to our employees, guests, and tenants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Support: Assist the facilities team with daily operations, including maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the building and its grounds.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory, maintenance schedules, and other relevant information.
  • Request Fulfillment: Ensure that requests from tenants, employees, and guests are completed in a timely and efficient manner, using our Facilities Service Desk tool.
  • Communication: Respond to inquiries from tenants, employees, and guests, providing information and assistance as needed.
  • Team Support: Assist the facilities team with their routine duties, including cleaning, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that high standards are maintained in all areas of the building, including cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, including but not limited to, weed pulling, FOD/garbage collection, clearing entrances and pathways, and snow/ice removal during inclement weather.
  • Moves and Events: Assist with office moves, including the transportation of larger pieces of furniture to and from storage, and support the set-up and take-down of company and third-party events on-site.
  • Facility Walkthroughs: Conduct regular facility walkthroughs to identify and report any necessary repairs or maintenance.
  • Security: Sign in/out and escort contractors as per Skyservice Security policies.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Required Skills
  • Education: A High School Diploma or equivalency is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in events, cleaning, or property management would be an asset.
  • Driver's License: Must have a valid Quebec driver's license.
  • Tools and Equipment: Familiar with hand and power tools – operations and safety.
  • Background Check: Must pass a Police Background Check and secure a local airport Restricted Area Identification Card.
  • Software Skills: Experience with CAD or other design, facility software, and Microsoft Paint, is an asset.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills, safety and customer service-oriented, security-focused mindset, excellent time management and organizational skills, strong work ethic and attention to detail, ability to work independently and in a team environment, ability to set priorities and understand and follow directions with minimal supervision.
  • Physical Demands: Able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
