Cape Breton University is seeking a collaborative and accomplished accounting professional to join our team as a tenure-track assistant professor. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of our accounting programs and engage in research and teaching activities that align with the university's strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Teach accounting courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Conduct research and publish in reputable academic journals
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners and stakeholders
- Participate in departmental and university service activities
The ideal candidate will possess a PhD or DBA in accounting or a related field, with a strong background in teaching and research. A master's degree in business with a CPA designation is also acceptable. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service, as well as a strong understanding of the accounting profession and its applications.
