The Department of Law, Economics, Accounting and Finance at Cape Breton University is seeking a collaborative candidate to join our team as a tenure-track Assistant Professor/Lecturer in Accounting. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching and research, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with colleagues and students.

The successful candidate will have a PhD or DBA in Accounting (ABD is acceptable) or a Master's degree in Business with a designation of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) in good standing. They will also have a strong commitment to teaching, research, and service, and will be able to demonstrate evidence of effective teaching and research in Accounting.

CBU teaches programs on campus, off campus in locations across and outside of Canada, and online. The university and its partners will provide opportunities for faculty members to teach in different modes and locations as part of their regular workload.

Applicants are expected to demonstrate potential and commitment with regard to teaching, research/creative/scholarly activities and service to Cape Breton University, community and profession.

The union affiliation of this position is with the Cape Breton University Faculty Association.
