Systematic Trader Opportunity

A leading Global hedge fund is seeking a skilled Systematic Trader to join their Toronto office. As a key member of the trading team, you will be responsible for managing the daily execution of quantitative systematic trading strategies, making real-time decisions to mitigate risk, and collaborating with strategy developers and technology experts to improve the trading platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the systematic trading platform, working closely with developers, researchers, and technology teams.
  • Foster business growth by gaining a thorough understanding of market microstructure, products, regulations, and the trading platform, and defining new technology requirements.
  • Drive continuous enhancements of the top-tier trading platform through design and implementation.
  • Identify trends in market and strategy performance metrics to provide actionable insights.
  • Develop and implement trading playbooks to manage macro event risks effectively.
  • Take ownership of risk management measures and oversee trading activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM, Finance, Economics, or Business from a leading institution.
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic decision-making skills, capable of maintaining a holistic view to make informed and justifiable decisions in a dynamic trading environment.
  • Previous experience in electronic trading.
  • Keen attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven self-starter with the drive and proactive mindset to learn and adapt to achieve desired outcomes.
