At Alterra Mountain Company, we are seeking a committed individual to take on the role of Grounds Maintenance Worker. Below are the key responsibilities and qualifications for this position:
Key Responsibilities:
- Mowing and maintaining greens, tees, fairways, and rough areas
- Applying necessary fertilizers and fungicides as instructed
- Laying sod and seeding to enhance the landscape
- Caring for flowers and shrubs to ensure aesthetic appeal
- Operating essential equipment for effective grounds upkeep
- Documenting daily reports regarding equipment status
- Assisting in the overall cleanliness of the course
- Changing holes, pins, markers, and other course elements
- Aerating fairways, tees, and greens to promote healthy growth
- Maintaining sand traps for optimal play conditions
- Clearing underbrush using appropriate tools
- Hand watering and aiding in irrigation system maintenance
- Carrying out additional tasks as required
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in golf course maintenance is preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Physical capability to perform the job duties
- Successful completion of required assessments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Good judgment and ability to work independently
Working Conditions:
Work schedule may vary based on operational requirements; this is a full-time position with shifts that may include daytime or evening hours, as well as weekends; compensation will be based on the established salary range.
