Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Stock Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Stock Associate, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, ensuring that our customers receive excellent service and that our store is well-stocked and organized.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by collecting shopping carts from the cart corrals, parking lot, and store perimeter, and returning them to a safe storage location. Ensure that customers receive assistance with carry-outs or carry-ins, and verify receipts for proof of purchase.
  2. Cart Retrieval: Maintain the Cart Retrieval Log at the Customer Service Desk and ensure that all carts are properly stored and accounted for.
  3. Housekeeping: Assist with occasional cleaning and maintenance of the restrooms, handling chemicals, and following correct disposal procedures. Use power equipment, such as sweepers and scrubbers, to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  4. Safety and Security: Adhere to safety and emergency procedures, including guidelines for hazardous communications, lockout/tagout, and blood-borne pathogens. Wear personal protective equipment, such as steel-toe footwear and reflective vests, to ensure visibility and safety.
  5. Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also need to be physically able to lift, push, and pull carts and other equipment, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
