About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accreditation Officer to join our team at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. As an Accreditation Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of healthcare services in our province.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and evaluate healthcare programs to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Conduct interviews with healthcare professionals and stakeholders to gather information and assess program effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with healthcare institutions to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for accreditation.
  • Provide education and training to healthcare professionals on accreditation standards and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare stakeholders to promote accreditation and quality improvement.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a general office setting and may be required to travel to healthcare institutions throughout the province.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. healthcare administration, public health).
  • 5 years or more of experience in healthcare accreditation or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
