Your Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity exists at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre as a Speech Language Pathologist responsible for the management of adult outpatients referred with swallowing and communication difficulties.
Description:
As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide clinical professional practice both independently and as a part of a collaborative team, which may include external partners. You will be responsible for providing prevention, health promotion, identification, assessment, intervention, and case management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment and treatment to a varied neurological caseload
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues to develop and implement treatment plans
- Supervise students and provide clinical guidance to other staff as appropriate
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to program development
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in assessment and treatment of adult clients experiencing swallowing and communication difficulties. Experience conducting videofluoroscopy swallow studies is an asset.
