Job Overview
Position Summary
ORTEC ENVIRONMENT SERVICES is actively seeking skilled Chemical Cleaning Technicians to support a variety of short-term and long-term projects.
This role will report directly to the Supervisor, collaborating to ensure that all tasks are executed safely and efficiently.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Operating specialized Chemical Cleaning machinery (such as pumps, heat exchangers, and circulation units);
- Setting up temporary systems and executing routine operational tasks (including the installation of Victaulic piping, chemical hoses, and mixing different chemical solutions);
- Conducting troubleshooting as necessary;
- Prioritizing Health and Safety by adhering to and enforcing compliance with established policies and procedures;
- Maintaining cleanliness at the work site at all times;
- Performing maintenance inspections on equipment before and after project completion;
- Traveling extensively (primarily within Ontario) for project assignments and client site turnarounds;
- Expanding responsibilities to include High Pressure and Vacuum operations.
Candidate Profile
A minimum of 3 years of experience in Industrial or Chemical Cleaning is required; familiarity with WHMIS is a plus.
- Valid Class DZ or AZ Driver's License or G License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Basic knowledge of chemistry is advantageous.
- Willingness to acquire new skills.
- Capacity to follow instructions and perform effectively under pressure.
- Strong multitasking abilities and adaptability to new work environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain professional relationships in a dynamic environment.
