Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cage Cashier to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our cash handling team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing cash transactions, and maintaining a safe and welcoming work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cash Handling and Administration
    • Process cash transactions, including foreign currency exchange, traveler's cheques, short pays, over payments, and cash counts
    • Monitor and report all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Operational Support
    • Redeem value chips and gaming tickets for cash
    • Sell racing tickets, vouchers, racing programs, and value chips as required
    • Verify and process machine fills, machine jackpots, cancelled credits, table fills, and credits
    • Issue opening floats to Slot Attendants (or others); reconcile closing floats
    • Transfer and store floats, keys, and record-keeping documents
    • Document and reconcile transactions; may reconcile bank deposits and prepare revenue reports
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with all operational departments
    • Build strong working relationships with guests and team members
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications
    • High School Diploma; post-secondary education an asset
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in high-volume cash handling
    • Food Safety Certification
    • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
  • Work Environment Considerations
    • Regular casino and cage environment, standing or sitting for long periods of time, non-traditional work hours
