Job Title: Environmental Program Coordinator

At BGIS, we are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Program Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our environmental management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting a culture of sustainability within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate environmental activities, including Legionella bacteria management, asbestos management, and environmental certifications (BOMA Best).
  • Act as the first point-of-contact for environmental and health inquiries and incidents.
  • Provide guidance to team members on environmental and health matters and escalate inquiries as necessary.
  • Coordinate the implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs and procedures.
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of incidents, including root-cause analysis and providing probable causes and recommendations for resolution.
  • Maintain all environmental, health, and safety data, including incident data and regulatory compliance data.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in environmental management system development and administration.
  • Certification in one or more of the following: Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, Certificate in Environmental Management, or University degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or Environmental Studies.
  • 1-3 years of environmental, health, and safety work experience.
  • Understanding of environmental, health, and safety regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple requirements simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Strong administrative skills, with the ability to maintain and report accurate data.
