About the Role

The City of Oshawa is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief People & Culture Officer to join its senior leadership team. This key role is responsible for providing strategic advice and guidance on all people, organization culture, diversity, equity and reconciliation (DER) related matters at the City.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years progressive public sector HR experience, with a strong knowledge of all facets of day-to-day HR operations. They will have a proven track record of executing HR and DER short and long-term strategic plans and initiatives.

This inspiring leader will have a deep commitment to enhancing employee culture, advancing reconciliation, equity, diversity, accessibility and inclusion in all its forms. A skilled mediator, relationship builder and strategic leader, the Chief People and Culture Officer will have experience leading organizational change in a multi-unionized environment.
