Senior Accountant

Zymeworks is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with month-end close and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries and analysis.
- Prepare and maintain fixed asset and intangible schedules and working papers.
- Prepare prepaid schedules and calculate/review monthly amortization.
- Prepare variance analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Assist with intercompany clearing accounts and quarterly reviews.
- Proactively identify areas for process improvements and efficient workflows.
- Maintain SOX compliance and internal controls.
- Accounting diploma and 3-4 years' general accounting experience.
- Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Strong organizational skills and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Zymeworks offers a comprehensive total rewards package, including competitive salaries, generous benefits, and opportunities for professional growth. The Canadian base salary range for this position is $71,000 - $, with bonus, equity, and benefits included.
