Job Description

Job Title: IT Solutions Architect

Job Summary:

Nexus Systems Group Inc. is seeking a highly skilled IT Solutions Architect to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing technical solutions that meet the business needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and present functional and technical designs to stakeholders.
  • Solution and develop scripts to deliver projects.
  • Lead application teams to deliver solutions.
  • Create and execute implementation plans.
  • Work with technical team members within matrix environments and communicate with stakeholders on an executive level.
  • Work on project end-to-end to define procedure/processes and push changes through delivery.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of technical experience as a Solutions Architect, demonstrating a proven track record in delivering technical solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience on various protocols, scripting and programming (e.g. PowerShell, Shell Scripting, SQL Programming and Java).
  • 5+ years of experience with designing system, network, and application architectures; both cloud and hybrid technologies (e.g. Azure and GCP preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience performing root cause impact analysis and identifying system interdependencies.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Previous exposure to the Banking Industry/Financial Services.
  • Working in diverse large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Working experience with MS Excel/Visio/PowerPoint.
  • Certifications (PMP, TOGAF, CCNP, Cloud).
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Project management experience and ability to drive solution and delivery of project.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills to be able to work well with technical peers and business stakeholders at different levels within the organization.
  • Strong decision making, forward thinking and creative problem-solving skills to anticipate and respond quickly to technological/market influences.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction.

Education:

Post-secondary degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related IT field required.
