Position Overview

Join A & A EXCAVATING LTD. as a Construction Equipment Operator. This is a permanent position that offers a structured work schedule of 40 hours per week. Candidates should possess a secondary school graduation certificate and have 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and analyze blueprints, maps, and specifications to devise operational methods and sequences.
  • Skillfully operate heavy machinery.
  • Review technical documents to ascertain work requirements.
  • Maintain equipment by cleaning, lubricating, and refilling tanks as necessary.
  • Utilize two-way radios and other communication devices effectively.
  • Conduct minor repairs on machinery.
Equipment Expertise

Experience in operating the following types of heavy machinery is essential:

  • Backhoe excavator
  • Loader
Areas of Experience

Preferred experience includes:

  • Demolition
  • Excavation
  • Land clearing
Industry Background

Experience in the Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) construction sector is highly valued.

Safety and Security

All candidates must be bondable and possess a valid driver's license.

Work Environment

This role demands:

  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a willingness to work overtime when required.
