Opportunity OverviewWe currently have an opportunity for a Casual Anesthesia Assistant to join our team.
As an Anesthesia Assistant, you will play a vital role in the care of our patients undergoing surgery.
Key Responsibilities- Provide respiratory care as established by the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO) and the standards of the hospital.
- Participate in the care of the stable surgical patient during general, regional, or local anesthesia under the clinical direction of the Chief of Anesthesia.
- Administer anesthetic gases and medications, perform conscious sedation, and are responsible for insertion and monitoring of intravenous and arterial lines.
- Provide constant assessment and evaluative monitoring of the depth of anesthesia under the direct supervision of the anesthesiologist and with the use of medical directives, as applicable.
Completion of (or current enrollment in) an accredited Anesthesia Assistant (AA) Program is required.
