Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including merchandise, promotions, and sales.
  • Ensure a positive shopping experience for customers, including maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods.
  • Replenish merchandise around the checkout area, ensuring that products are stocked and easily accessible to customers.
  • Follow up on hot selling items, completing markdowns and SKU changes as needed.
  • Maintain planograms, labels, tickets, and signing standards, ensuring that products are displayed in an attractive and appealing manner.
  • Perform cycle counts as required, ensuring that inventory levels are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, including those related to tobacco and lottery sales.
  • Ensure health and safety policies and guidelines are followed, including proper lifting and bending techniques.
  • Ensure loss prevention best practices are followed, including monitoring and reporting any suspicious activity.
Requirements:
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with customers, colleagues, and management.
Working Conditions:

The physical demands of this role include standing and walking for long periods, bending, twisting, and squatting, lifting and moving up to 18 kg (40 lbs), and performing tasks involving firm grasping and repetitive hand motions. The role also requires the ability to operate equipment, including using a ladder.
