Position Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled individual to become a vital member of our Gastroenterology Research Team in a clinical role focused on patient interaction. The ideal candidate should demonstrate motivation, adaptability, and the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

As a recognized regional center for Gastroenterology, we pride ourselves on our strong reputation for executing clinical research initiatives. Our operations extend across various facilities, providing a unique opportunity for interdisciplinary collaboration.

The team is engaged in a diverse array of research projects, including early and late-phase clinical trials, observational studies, and registries, primarily targeting patients with inflammatory bowel disease and other gastrointestinal conditions.

The selected candidate will undergo a comprehensive induction process and receive continuous support, with the chance to facilitate the execution of research studies within the Gastroenterology specialty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a diverse portfolio of research studies, ensuring compliance with research protocols and Good Clinical Practice.
  • Oversee the screening, recruitment, and follow-up of research participants.
  • Conduct various research activities, including clinical assessments, administering study interventions, processing samples, managing data, and reporting safety information.
  • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a high-quality clinical research environment.
  • Initiate and manage nursing activities related to academic studies and clinical trials, adhering to ICH good clinical practice guidelines.
  • Mentor and supervise junior team members.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Registered Nurse (relevant branch).
  • Academic qualifications at diploma level, with a willingness to pursue degree-level studies.
  • Familiarity with mentorship requirements set by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • Strong understanding of research governance and the clinical application of research.
  • Proven experience in clinical specialty areas and/or clinical research delivery.
  • Excellent IT skills and advanced communication abilities.
  • High level of organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
