Job Title: Refrigeration/Plumber Technician

Black & McDonald is seeking an experienced Refrigeration or Plumber technician to join our team. If you are a skilled professional with technical expertise and excellent customer service skills, this position may be a good fit for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair customers' refrigeration systems
  • Inspect and work on RTUs and HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Perform system checks, troubleshooting, and refrigerant recovery to identify and resolve issues
  • Conduct electrical and gas system troubleshooting to diagnose and repair problems
  • Complete detailed service logs and reports to document work completed
  • Resolve complex system problems and provide solutions to customers
  • Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a HVAC/refrigeration technician
  • HVAC certification and knowledge of local building codes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
  • Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills to troubleshoot and repair complex systems
  • Physical fitness to lift and move heavy equipment

Additional Requirements:

  • Clean Class 5 SK Driver's License
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Professional demeanor and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills to access and complete documentation
