We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineering Lead to join our team at Allnorth. As a key member of our infrastructure group, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, designers, and technicians in delivering complex infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of engineers, designers, and technicians in delivering infrastructure projects, including design and construction of water, sewer, drainage, and transportation infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance to a team of Professional Engineers, EITs, and designers to deliver preliminary to detailed design drawings and specifications.
- Carry out estimates of project costs, analysis and calculations, design review, preparation of reports, proposals, and contract documentation.
- Maintain and develop business relationships with current and potential clients.
- Interface directly with clients, team members, contractors, and others to clearly define project requirements and expectations to deliver projects across the Province/Country/North America.
- Work with Civil Engineering (and other discipline) leads across Allnorth to further maintain and develop the practice at Allnorth to or beyond the industry standard.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Must be registered (or eligible to register) as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in the province of Alberta.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering and project management.
- Experience in municipal, land development, and infrastructure projects.
- Strong project management, technical, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication/technical writing skills demonstrated through experience in the preparation of correspondence, reports, and proposals.
- Effective verbal communicator, including presentation, facilitation, and listening skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; able to mentor and work with junior engineers and designers.
- Good organization skills and strong attention to detail.
- Strong decision-making ability to take action consistent with available facts, constraints, and anticipated consequences.
