Job Summary:

NearSource Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software components to meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Design, develop, test, debug, and document software components to meet business, quality, and operational goals.
  • Code Quality: Write high-quality code, incorporating unit and integration testing to ensure robust functionality.
  • API Development: Architect and build RESTful APIs using Java within a microservices framework.
  • Code Review: Participate in code reviews to uphold high coding standards.
  • Technology Advancement: Stay current with new technologies and advocate for their adoption within the team.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the team to swiftly diagnose and resolve code-level issues.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrate strong technical problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: 8+ years of extensive backend programming experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java 8/11, Spring, and Spring Boot. Expertise in implementing microservices using Spring Boot and Spring JPA. Practical experience in developing and integrating RESTful web services with diverse clients. Familiarity with AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS, etc.). Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases like MySQL and DynamoDB. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Docker and Jenkins is a plus.
