About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Java Backend Developer to join our team at Extreme Networks. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our backend systems using Java.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain APIs using OpenAPI and gRPC.
  • Work with container technologies and Kubernetes to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Design and implement data serialization using Google ProtoBuf and Amazon Kinesis.
  • Develop and maintain databases using Elasticsearch, Postgres, Redis, and Apache Flink.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in the field.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Java, Golang, and Python development.
  • Strong experience with Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and container technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • API proficiency using OpenAPI and gRPC.
  • Hands-on experience with data serialization using Google ProtoBuf and Amazon Kinesis.
  • Experience with databases including Elasticsearch, Postgres, Redis, and Apache Flink.
  • Cloud experience with AWS or GCP.
  • Automated testing using Pytest.
  • GitHub expertise.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working on resilient, scalable distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, analytics, and automation.
