About the Department

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is a dynamic and multidisciplinary team of 46 professors, seven lecturers, 34 technical and administrative support staff, and several postgraduate interns, research specialists, and research associates. We offer programs in mechanical and aerospace engineering and contribute to the biomedical engineering program, with over 1,300 undergraduate students and 300 postgraduate students.

We work closely with industry to conduct cutting-edge research activities in mechanical, biomedical, aerospace, metallurgical, and energy engineering. Our department directors help to administer the institution and are responsible for managing the department's various strategic, scientific, budgetary, and human resources dimensions, while adhering to the highest possible standards of excellence.
