Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Bookkeeper to join our team at PROMISES ACCOUNTING. The ideal candidate will possess a solid educational background and relevant experience in bookkeeping and accounting practices.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year and less than 2 years in a bookkeeping role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Process payroll by calculating and preparing cheques.
  • Assess fixed assets and manage depreciation calculations.
  • Maintain and balance various accounts through both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Oversee general ledgers and prepare financial statements.
  • Record journal entries accurately.
  • Generate statistical, financial, and accounting reports as needed.
  • Prepare and file tax returns.
  • Compile trial balances of accounts.
  • Reconcile discrepancies in accounts.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in accounting software.
  • Familiarity with MS Access, MS Outlook, MS Windows, and MS Office.
  • Experience with Sage Accounting Software.
