Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Shop Supervisor to oversee our operations at A CLASS TRUCK & TRAILER REPAIR LTD. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth functioning of our machine shop and the effective management of our team.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in a supervisory role
Work Environment
  • Dusty
  • Noisy
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule daily activities within the machine shop
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Oversee the overall operation of the facility
  • Order necessary materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Set up and maintain machines and equipment
  • Supervise a team of 3-4 workers and manage projects
  • Utilize computer numerical control (CNC) machines effectively
Skills and Attributes
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of meeting tight deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure
Requirements
  • Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots are required
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication skills, organized, and detail-oriented
Work Conditions

This is a permanent position with a commitment of 35 hours per week. The primary language of work is English.
