Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman/Forewoman to join our team at Golderado Contracting Corp. As a key member of our Underground Utilities department, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient execution of underground utility projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Superintendents, Project Managers, and sub-contractors to enhance safety awareness and improve safety practices.
  • Lead and participate in weekly safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, secure special attachments, and operate two-way radios and other communication equipment.
  • Supervise workers and coach them to higher safety culture and productivity.
  • Ensure that all quality documents are signed off and receive and sign permits for work inside live operating plants.
Requirements
  • A minimum of five years of experience in equipment operation and a heavy equipment operator certificate or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license with an insurable driver's abstract and a reliable means of transportation.
  • Proficient English language skills and the ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, and produce workable solutions.
