About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Learning Assistant Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting classroom teachers and fostering a positive learning environment for students with diverse needs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary School Based Team to identify and program for students with diverse learning needs.
- Assist in delivering differentiated learning experiences that maximize student potential in both inclusive classrooms and special education settings.
- Contribute to a supportive classroom environment that integrates self-regulation and social-emotional care practices.
- Support the implementation of on-the-land curriculum and project-based learning activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Education, or equivalent, with a specialization in Secondary Education and coursework and/or experience in Special Education.
- Proven experience working with students with diverse learning needs and collaborating with educators to develop individualized support plans.
- Demonstrated understanding of inclusive education principles and best practices.
- Experience integrating self-regulation and social-emotional care practices into the classroom setting is an asset.
- Familiarity with project-based learning methodologies and curriculum development is highly valued.
