Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Intermediate Project Manager to oversee our Forestry Management Projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, analytical, and leadership abilities, along with a solid understanding of both Waterfall and Agile Hybrid methodologies, particularly within the natural resources sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple projects concurrently, ensuring they are completed on schedule and meet client expectations.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Lead and coordinate project teams, establishing clear goals and objectives.
  • Identify potential project risks and issues, implementing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Regularly communicate project updates and changes to all stakeholders.
  • Ensure optimal resource allocation and prioritization across projects.
  • Monitor project performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders and stakeholders to align project objectives.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and adaptive development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, Geography, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.
  • Experience in hybrid project environments that blend Agile and traditional methodologies.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced setting with competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in relevant industry domains (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, ITIL) or other professional credentials (e.g., Professional Forester, GISP).
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira and Microsoft Planner.
  • Knowledge of hybrid project management techniques, including Lean, Kanban, and Scrum.
