Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Logistics Coordinator at Atlas Industries Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials within our warehouse and shipping operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine Method of Shipment: Research and select the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods for our products.
  • Inspect and Verify Incoming Goods: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming goods to ensure they match our invoices and other documentation.
  • Record Shortages and Reject Damaged Goods: Accurately record any shortages or damaged goods and reject them accordingly.
  • Pack Goods to be Shipped: Safely and efficiently pack goods for shipment, ensuring they are properly labeled and prepared for transport.
  • Unpack Goods Received: Unpack and inspect goods received, verifying their condition and accuracy.
  • Affix Identifying Information and Shipping Instructions: Clearly label and affix shipping instructions to packages, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Oversee Loading and Unloading of Goods: Supervise the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring safe and efficient handling.
  • Pay and Receive Payments for Goods: Process payments for goods received and ensure accurate payment records.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in spreadsheet software, such as MS Excel.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Familiarity with industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts, as well as pallet lifters.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's license.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, excellent oral communication, and organized.
Experience

Experience is an asset, but not required. We offer a permanent position with 40 hours of work per week and a language of work in English.
