Position Overview

The role of a Material Handler at CITY FURNITURE (DC) LTD involves the efficient management of products and materials within our warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Efficiently load, unload, and transport products and materials using manual methods and basic handling equipment.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate various machinery to facilitate the movement of goods.
  • Order Fulfillment: Process and ship customer orders accurately.
  • Inventory Management: Pick and stock items, ensuring proper organization and maintenance of inventory.
  • Labeling: Create and affix labels to products for identification.
  • Packaging: Wrap and pack goods securely for storage and shipment.
  • Goods Security: Install, lash, and secure items to prevent damage during transport.
  • Inventory Control: Utilize computerized systems to manage and organize inventory effectively.
Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in a similar role.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Language Requirement: Proficiency in English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
