Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate Personal Support Workers to join our team at RhynoCare in the Wellington area.

Job Summary

As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality nursing care, ensuring the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and resident plans of care.
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care.
  • Ensure timely and accessible admissions, comprehensive orientations, and safe resident transfers and discharges.
  • Manage the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, adhering to established protocols.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the diverse needs of our residents.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards influencing the operation of long-term care facilities.
  • Medical Clearance, including TB tests, Vulnerable Sector Police Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check.
  • Clear Criminal Record check.

All staff are required to provide proof of vaccination, adhere to COVID-19 prevention protocols, and wear a mask at all times.
