About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting students with diverse learning needs, fostering their academic growth, and empowering them to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of each student.
- Provide differentiated instruction and support to students in a variety of learning environments.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning experience for all students.
- Assess student progress regularly and make adjustments to teaching strategies as needed.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a relevant subject area with a Postgraduate Diploma of Education (PGDE) or equivalent from an accredited university.
- Minimum 10 weeks of supervised student teaching placement at a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Valid certification as issued by the certificating authority in both the jurisdiction where you were trained and the jurisdiction where you last taught.
- Previous experience as a learning support teacher is required.
- 5 or more years of classroom teaching experience is strongly preferred.
- Native proficiency in spoken and written English is required. Fluency in spoken and written Chinese is preferred.

- Strong understanding of current trends in educational research and development pertaining to special education.
- Proven expertise in facilitating student-centered learning and assessment through inquiry, differentiated instruction, and the application of technology in teaching and learning.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
