Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Yard Worker to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. As a Yard Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and productive work environment at our concrete plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Mobile Equipment: Safely operate mobile equipment, such as forklifts, on plant property to transport materials and equipment.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness of plant work areas, including cleaning, lubricating, and storing equipment and materials.
  • Form Preparation: Prepare concrete forms for delivery, including building, cleaning, and lubricating forms.
  • Material Transportation: Transport materials to and from storage and shop areas, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in an open pit mine or a similar industry is an asset.
  • Skills: Experience using power tools, such as routers, circular saws, and cordless drills, is required.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to work cooperatively as part of a productive team, work safely and independently, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs., sit and stand for extended periods, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on varied terrain.
