About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Therapeutic Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our inter-disciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide health, health promotion, and therapeutic services to patients.

Reporting to the Registered Nurse / LPN and working under the direction of a Recreation Therapist, you will assist in the provision of health services, health promotion, and therapeutic services to patients. You will work cooperatively and collaboratively with the inter-disciplinary team in carrying out the individual's care plan and communicating patient-specific information that will enhance the level of knowledge of the treatment team.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Grade XII plus a one-year certificate or diploma from a Recreation or Therapeutic Recreation Program. You should have current CPR certification and a strong understanding of community resources. Knowledge of other languages, particularly French, is an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

$24.69 Hourly
