About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Therapeutic Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Therapeutic Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing health, health promotion, and therapeutic services to patients. You will work collaboratively with our inter-disciplinary team to carry out individual care plans and communicate patient-specific information to enhance the level of knowledge of the treatment team.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a Grade XII plus a one-year certificate or diploma from a Recreation or Therapeutic Recreation Program. You will also have current CPR certification and a strong understanding of community resources. Knowledge of other languages is an asset, particularly French. You will be a strong leader with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, part-time position with 70% FTE and 52.5 hours bi-weekly. The hourly rate is $21.87 - $24.69. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
