About the Role

CAD Industries Ferroviaires Ltée is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Revenue Vehicle Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the daily vehicle maintenance operations for our Metrolinx Legacy Fleet Maintenance contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Daily Vehicle Maintenance Operations: Oversee the daily vehicle maintenance function, including preventative maintenance bays and yards, mid-day layovers, and night layovers.
  • Lead a Team of Supervisors: Manage a team of supervisors, planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the operation to ensure the overall performance of the team.
  • Ensure Compliance with HSE Policies: Confirm that all HSE policies, processes, and procedures are being complied with.
  • Coordinate Resources: Organize resources to ensure potential equipment failures are identified early and repairs are completed timely to avoid impacting rail revenue service.
  • Participate in Meetings: Participate and provide input during meetings with staff and the customer on operational matters.
  • Provide Technical Guidance: Provide advice and guidance on complex technical issues that have been escalated.
  • Investigate Customer Issues: Act as the point of contact for the investigation of customer issues relating to daily equipment maintenance.
  • Coordinate Special Initiatives: Coordinate and ensure completion of special initiatives and projects.
  • Measure and Analyze Equipment Reliability: Measure and analyze all equipment reliability key performance indicators, identify failure trends, and develop reliability improvement strategies.
  • Prepare Financial Reports: Understand and provide input on the preparation of the financial budget, review and ensure the department works within the budget parameters.
Requirements
  • Experience in Rail Maintenance: 5 to 7 years of experience managing in a rail maintenance environment and/or a related field.
  • Leadership Experience: Prior experience managing a team.
  • Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance: Knowledge of preventative maintenance, work order, and scheduling techniques.
  • Education: Diploma or degree in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Unionized Environment: Experience working in an unionized environment.
  • Familiarity with Other Industries: Familiarity with other industries such as Aerospace.
  • Experience in the Rail Industry: Experience working in the rail industry with a comprehensive knowledge of rail equipment.
