About the Role:

Bureau Veritas Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Ste-Foy, QC. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, ensuring the laboratory and office spaces are clean and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas;
  • Ensure safety-related maintenance items are addressed promptly;
  • Perform outside building and grounds maintenance, including snow removal and spring clean-up;
  • Provide support to the Facilities Supervisor as required;
  • Act as a backup point of contact for contractors responsible for maintenance of laboratory and building equipment;
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required;
  • 1 year of general maintenance or equivalent experience preferred;
  • Eager to learn and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment;
  • Positive attitude and strong multitasking abilities;
  • Strong computer skills;
  • Lift permit an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • High level of work production in a fast-paced environment;
  • Hands-on building maintenance work, including climbing, bending, and lifting;
  • Flexible working hours, including some extended hours as required;
  • Some out-of-town travel possible, but rare;
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted;
  • Long periods of standing;
  • Hazardous materials handled using established safety procedures and equipment.
