About the Role

The Vancouver Airport Authority is seeking a highly skilled Asset Performance Planner to join our Asset Management Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing cost-effective, long-term asset plans and managing risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and optimization of asset management plans, providing strategic advice on service levels and future demand.
  • Conduct condition assessments with subject matter experts, gather and report data for strategic planning, and monitor asset management systems.
  • Develop and implement asset Service Level Agreements (SLAs), monitor service delivery against metrics, and collaborate with asset managers to address performance issues.
  • Collaborate on scopes of work for asset replacement projects, ensure alignment with SLAs, and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Conduct and prioritize risk assessments for physical assets, document and track risks using management tools, and develop mitigation strategies with asset managers.
  • Develop a multi-year investment program by gathering requirements, defining scope, and entering data into CopperLeaf Portfolio.
Requirements
  • Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field with at least 5 years of related progressive industry experience in asset management or project management.
  • Strong project management skills in construction or maintenance of physical infrastructure, combined with exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Excellent risk management and stakeholder management skills, including identifying and mitigating critical risks, influencing decisions, and navigating conflicts.
  • Strong knowledge of asset management principles, maintenance engineering or planning, particularly regarding the specific assets and operational processes within airport environments.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or enterprise asset management (EAM) software.
