Job Title: Food Safety Inspector

Rah-Firdaus Foods & Fashions Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Food Safety Inspector to join our team. As a Food Safety Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that our food products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inspections of our food processing facilities to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Investigate any food safety incidents or complaints and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Develop and implement health and safety plans to prevent food safety incidents.
  • Collaborate with our quality assurance team to ensure that our food products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Asset Languages:
  • Yoruba.
Work Site Environment:
  • Africa.
Work Setting:
  • Urban area.
  • Willing to relocate.
  • Relocation costs not covered by employer.
Tasks:
  • Provide information/training to employers, employees and general public.
  • Conduct surveys and monitoring programs of the natural environment.
  • Collect samples of materials for analysis.
  • Inspect spills of hazardous chemicals or products.
  • Inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards.
  • Investigate workplace accidents or illnesses.
  • Initiate enforcement procedures to fine or close an establishment.
  • Develop and implement health and safety plans.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Food safety/handling skills.
  • Inspect products and processing methods; prepare reports and ensure that regulations governing health, quality and safety are followed.
