Job Title: Instructor, Practical Nursing

Assiniboine Community College is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Instructor, Practical Nursing to join our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver high-quality educational programs in practical nursing, ensuring students meet the required competencies and standards.
  • Design and implement curriculum, assessments, and evaluations to meet the needs of students and the nursing profession.
  • Provide academic support and guidance to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and maintain course materials, learning resources, and educational technologies.
  • Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure teaching and learning are relevant and effective.
  • Contribute to the development of program and curriculum policies, ensuring alignment with college and industry standards.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and other college activities to enhance teaching and learning.
Requirements:
  • Relevant post-secondary nursing education and significant industry experience in acute care.
  • Teaching experience in an adult environment, preferably in a post-secondary setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and industry partners.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other educational technologies.
