Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a key member of our Maintenance & Reliability business unit, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex problem-solving on electrical and instrumentation equipment, including low and medium voltage switchgear, electric motors, control valves, transmitters, analyzers, and protection relays.
  • Develop and implement Construction Work Packages (CWP's) outlining proper repair or modification and subsequent testing of existing equipment.
  • Provide technical support for maintenance activities, assisting Tradespeople, Maintenance Planners, and Coordinators in troubleshooting and resolving electrical and instrumentation problems.
  • Conduct technical evaluations and support for turnaround-related activities.
  • Design and implement engineering solutions for improvements and modifications to existing equipment.
  • Conduct economic analysis and risk assessments of alternative repair paths, considering effectiveness of repair along with impact to safety, environment, operation, and mean time to repair durations.
  • Prepare tender documentation, review submissions, and recommend vendor award for major pieces of replacement equipment and repairs.
Requirements
  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial systems, electrical or electronic systems engineering (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) as a Professional Engineer.
  • Education and experience within CSA, IEEE, API, and IEC codes and standards, RCM methodology, and maintenance management such as PEMAC MMP program, SMRP, or CMRP considered an asset.
