Job Summary:

General Fusion is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Specialist to oversee the company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing efficiency and productivity by managing supplier relationships, sourcing unique technologies, and implementing solutions to improve operational efficiencies and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain new and existing supplier relationships, acting as the technical liaison between suppliers and General Fusion's R&D, Engineering, and Purchasing teams.
  • Research potential supplier sources to ensure globally competitive prices and understand market prices for key components.
  • Coordinate and manage sourcing activity, including leading or participating in cross-functional teams to perform supplier selection, capability assessment, quality improvement, and supplier readiness assessments.
  • Work with Finance and Purchasing to develop and implement strategies to improve supplier productivity/quality and ensure supply chain continuity.
  • Facilitate communication between suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Determine key supply chain metrics and provide constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of directly relevant experience in procurement, engineering, supply chain, and/or quality management, preferably in a technical/R&D environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain engineering operations and best practices, including experience in working cross-functionally on creation of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), supplier and component assessment documentation, and on-site audits.
  • Aptitude to find and assess unique suppliers, with experience in IP management and purchase agreements for technical goods and services.
  • Quality assurance and associated best practices in supplier relations.
  • Ability to perform in a dynamic and collaborative environment with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a technology development engineer, supply chain engineer, or procurement engineer.
  • Certification in Quality Assurance.
