Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Engineer to join our team in New Brunswick. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing quality control and assurance services on construction projects, including aggregates and Portland cement concrete.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Project management of quality control and assurance services;
  • Budget management and invoicing;
  • Review and reporting of laboratory testing of various materials;
  • Development of proposals and completion of technical reporting;
  • Mentor and oversee laboratory, field staff and other professionals;
  • Promote and facilitate business development to a growing client base;
  • Develop an extensive knowledge in various Departmental and materials testing specifications.

You will work closely with our team to ensure the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering (or equivalent);
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in a similar engineering field;
  • Experience and personal skills to mentor other staff;
  • Member (or eligibility) of Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick (APEGNB);
  • Team-oriented and an excellent communicator;
  • Valid driver's license; and,
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout New Brunswick on an as-required basis.
