About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our team as a Painter Assistant at MATSQUI PAINTING & COATINGS LTD. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for assisting our painters with various tasks, ensuring the smooth execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt under the guidance of experienced painters
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials, maintaining a safe and organized work environment
  • Perform routine maintenance work, including cleaning up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, adhering to safety protocols
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, ensuring optimal performance
Requirements
  • Physically demanding work environment, requiring manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, dusty conditions, and hot temperatures
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, with the ability to handle heavy loads (up to 13.5 kg / 30 lbs)
  • Uniform and cellular phone provided by the employer
