Key Responsibilities- Estimation and Planning: Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for construction projects.
- Site Preparation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and prepare layouts in accordance with building codes.
- Material Handling: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Construction and Installation: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
- Site Management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, survey building locations, and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory of materials and tools.
- Worksite Maintenance: Clean and maintain the work area to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
- Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, requiring attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, with the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Reliability: Demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Teamwork: Work effectively as part of a team, with flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Organization: Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail.
