Position Overview

As a Culinary Specialist at DHABA JUNCTION, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen operations, ensuring that our culinary offerings meet the highest standards of quality and creativity.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain detailed records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Develop and innovate new recipes to enhance our menu.
  • Guide and instruct kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of dishes.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for various events.
  • Oversee the activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel.
  • Regularly prepare and cook meals for guests, including special functions.
  • Order food and kitchen supplies as needed.
  • Design menus that align with quality standards and customer preferences.
  • Ensure that meals are prepared for customers with dietary restrictions.
  • Supervise and mentor sous-chefs, specialist chefs, and cooks.
  • Train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe food handling practices.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsible for supervising a team of 1 to 4 kitchen staff members.

Work Environment
  • Fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physically demanding role requiring a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Experience Requirements

Ideal candidates will have between 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience in a culinary setting.

This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 30 hours per week.
