Prairie South School Division No. 210 is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Casual Bus Driver.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced bus driver to transport students safely and efficiently to and from school. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a school bus, ensuring the safety and well-being of students, and adhering to all relevant regulations and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a school bus safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during transportation.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and respectful relationship with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in good working condition.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 or 2 driver's license.
  • School Bus Endorsement training will be provided to successful applicants.
  • A clean driving record, as determined by the sole discretion of the Board.
  • Satisfactory results from a medical examination in accordance with Board procedure and The Highway Traffic Act.
  • Related training, such as courses in first aid, defensive driving, or heavy equipment operation, would be considered an asset.

Prairie South School Division offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. The rate of pay is determined by the route length.
